Giving Honor to Missionaries

     Stott Thots

By Darrel Stott

Viet Nam and Missionaries

Now the most important thing I do with my life and ministry and mentor and train a new generation in what I have learned as a Prophet and Missionary.  The lessons I have learned I try to pass on to them.

One of the truths I desire to impart is in this live how to honor the missionary and prophet in a proper way.  There is great consequence in giving honor.

When I was a child I would listen to my father talk many times without understanding what he was saying.  In my fathers younger years he could have been wiser with his money as he lived only from paycheck to pay check.  He always said, “If we are generous and sow God will take care of us.”

As long as I can remember my father and mother would argue and fight every time a missionary came to our church.  It did not matter what country the missionary was from my father felt called to that country.

But what brought the friction and arguing was my father never had a bank account in his early life.  And every time a missionary came to our church my father would put all his money in the offering.  My mother would always say “listen to me Bob…. we have four children and we need money to live please don’t put all you money in the offering again.”  But my father would never listen to his wife.

So many times I would father would talk how sad he felt for the older missionaries when they came as they had no house or place to call home.  They would be put into a cheap rest house and live their life as a pauper.

How could they be such hero’s to God and have no honor at home?

In Indonesia I have gone to remote Islands to find the old men and women and God.  To get a prophecy or any gift but to give honor to them for the life they have lived.  I would sit for hours not able to converse because our languages are different.  I wanted my travel and inconvenience to show them my respect and honor for what they had done.

A few weeks ago I spent over $1000 to travel to find an old prophets wife to spend time with her.  Most know nothing of her life and those close to her give her little honor or respect.  As I spent three hours talking I quietly bowed my head and asked if she would consider blessing me before she went to be with the Lord.  When she finished praying I wiped my tears away as she hugged me.  To see her smile and thank me for coming was the highlight of my trip.

Little is know of most missionaries and how they have spent their lives.  To their family and friends yes where they have served as missionaries honor may bestowed upon them But often times when coming home they are like a soldier from the Viet Nam war.  There is little honor given them.

To the missionary they do not look for recognition or honor for most their reward is in heaven.  But just as we have changed and try to give more recognition for the lives of those who serve our county so this new generation can change and make the missionary welcome and recognized at home.

"I Cannot Do It God"

Just Give Up!

By Darrel E. Stott

God touched and changed my life in a very dramatic way twenty years ago at “Catch the Fire” church in Toronto Canada with pastor John Arnott.  The touch from the hand of God in Toronto changed every area of my life.  It was no small thing.  It was dramatic and amazing.

Imagine a pastor who never had enough money to buy an airplane ticket anywhere that now lives on airplanes and travels the world for over ten months a year.  Is that amazing?  Yes it is.

I used to preach to a few hundred people and now often I preach to many thousands of people.

I had a speech problem as a teenager and never participated in any oral work in school but when Jesus healed me he sent me preaching to many nations in every part of the world.  Is that amazing?

But before God healed me I was totally frustrated with my life.  I thought as a young man that I would have the power of God and heal the sick and do miracles.  But as a pastor for twenty years it never happened.  Instead I was baby setting a bunch of spoiled baby boomers who wanted everything done to please them.  They were not concerned with the rest of the world only “their world”.

I had fasted and prayed and done everything I knew how to do to get the attention of God.  Why did He not help me?

At the beginning of October 1994 I told me friends that “I had given up on my dreams”.    I had given up on my ability to be a good pastor.  I also had given up on God answering my prayers and filling me with the power of the Holy Spirit to do miracles.

I began to make my plans for a transition out of the ministry into another vocation.

Within one week of me “giving Up” God began to implement his plan to change and bless me.  In less than two weeks the hand of God was on me with His power flowing through my body.  I was shaking and vibrating for hours under the power of God.

How desperate for God are you?

In a few months I will put all of my old books on revival as “EBooks on Amazon”.  These books are so practical and have helped thousands of people be touched by God.
If you are desperate for God and frustrated it is such a relief when you reach the end of your ability.  You just “Give UP”.

Now if anything good happens in your life it “has to be God” as you have proven you do not have the ability to change your life.

God loves it when we give up.  Then we have to rely and trust in him.

Friend today “Just Give UP” and get ready for a miracle.

God has Blessing for YOU in 2014

Stott’s Thots for 2014

Renewing of Mind
By Darrel E Stott
Today millions of Christians are preparing themselves for a difficult year over come with hopelessness and discouragement.

But my name is Darrel Stott and I am preparing myself for the greatest year of my life!  I am planning on getting more people saved and healed in 2013 than any year of my life.  I am planning on going to new countries and changing them with the power of God.  This will be the year of greatest missionary offerings in my ministries history.

What is the difference between them and me?   “What makes the difference is “Our thoughts and what we allow into our minds”.

Many times when we listen to the preacher share his sermon he spends 80% of his time telling us what the problem is but only 20^ with the solution.  Today I would like to attempt to encourage you with the KEYS or solutions that launch you to you potential with Christ.

Problem:
The Bible tells us that “perilous or difficult times will come” before Jesus returns to the earth for His church.  Because of the “financial crisis” many are facing very difficult times.  The crisis has affected every part of our lives.  The result is that now many people have lost their direction, and are depressed not able to cope with the emotions they are feeling.

Solution:
The solution is not a better job or moving to a new city.  But we must always live each day according to the WORD of GOD.  In good times or bad times there is a battle field where the devil attempts to take you for the one purpose of “ROBBING OUR JOY”.  The battle takes place in our minds.

Movies:
People by the millions go to the movie theatre and pay their $10 to watch in 3D the “Transformers”.  Wow this is so exciting!  So Amazing!  When the transformers come there is hope and a solution for all people.
In 2013 we must put of effort each day into “The Transformed Mind”
Paul writes to us “Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”    Romans 12:2
How does God change you from being a discouraged depressed person into an optimistic energetic successful person?
God wants to change the way you think.
The solution is found between our ears in our mind.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will

Look what the Plan of God is for you and your family in 2013
“I will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”      Joshua 1: 8-9
Refuse to think negative thoughts and bad things about President Obama instead think the thoughts of God
“God has a big important agenda of “Blessing and prosperity He desires to implement in your life in 2013”.  God wants heavens agenda to come to you and for you not to be like other people.
God says to you “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth”   Col 3:2

Fear and Worry are not allowed in your Thoughts
Listen God is talking to you today:  “Do not be worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”      Phil 4:6-7

Remember please that the “natural Christian mind and the Spiritual Mind of God will never agree and always be enemies of each other.

A wonderful pastor talked to me this week with his wife.  They said “Darrel others tell lies and make rumors of us and our ministry and there is nothing we can do.  All doors are closed to us and no one wants us”.
Yes there is something they can do if they know the WORD of GOD.    They must rejoice and be happy when people tell lies about them.
"God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.   Matt 5:11

Continually people tell lies and make unfounded rumors against me.   I accept this because I am a leader not a follower in the Kingdom of God. This is normal to me.  My response must be to rejoice.

Conclusion

It does not matter what others think of you but what does God think of you.  As long as there are sinners, sick people with no hope we are destined for success as we have the solution through Jesus Christ.

Are you really a Christian?  Does the Father, Son and Holy Spirit really live inside of you?
Do they expect to control you daily, lead you and prosper you?
Do angels really surround you bringing the resources of heaven to you so you will be successful?

Then snap out of these demonic moods and do the works of God.  No person or demon in hell can stop you!

"Great Joy in Sacrifice"

Great Joy in Sacrifice
By Darrel Stott

Sacrifice-  an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy.

God spoke to me

First
God spoke to me in 2011 that 2012 was to be the “Greatest year of Opportunity since the creation of the world”

Secondly
“2012 would be a very great year of “growth for those living in His Glory”
We are all must aware of the financial crisis the world has been in for the past three years or more.  It is a time of frustration and not a time of opportunity and growth.  The banks will pay you 1you’re your savings account.  There is no financial opportunity in the natural.  People with money do not know what to do with their money.

A Lesson Fom History

I became aware as I prayed of the lessons from history that we need to remember.  I love going to the country of Ireland.  It is a small country of 5 million people but very rich in missionary history.  Great men of God like St Patrick gave us examples of dedication and sacrifice.

It is interesting as the people enjoyed the wonderful presence of God that His presence led them into a burning desire to get people saved.  They were consumed with evangelism to the extent that they never considered the dangers that could come to their own life.

Many of the young people took food and water into small wooden boats to go into the ocean and allow the winds and tide to take them in any direction.  The young people would good bye to their family and friends knowing they would never see them again in this life.  They also knew they may die in their travel in these small boats.

They never considered their own lives.  But they obeyed.

Many of you have sacrificed and given financially into my ministry.  You never bought the furniture or never took the holiday but instead you gave your money to me for missions.
When the people get saved, and they are healed by the power of God it is because you did not give what was convenient but you sacrificed.

Sacrice to Rescue Gilrs in country of Nepal

The girls homes are now open in the country of Nepal.  As we recue the young girls from the sex industry it is because you sacrificed.  I do not write to condemn you but to honor you for your sacrifice.

If some of you have never given to missionary work it is true God will convict you so you will help others.  Most Christians give a tithe or 10% of the money to the church.  Then they try to give at least 1% to world missions each month

Now I am motivated to raise large funds for starting new rescue homes in the large cities in India.  My prayer is what has begun in the country of Nepal will now spread to India.  Rescuing these little girls from the sex trade Industry is very close to the heart of God.

When this is a time of “great opportunity” I desire to be used of God to do great things.

In September I will go to Manchester UK with 200 intercessors from Indonesia and my pastor Petrus Agung to do outreach.  We have hundreds of people praying around the world.  This is an opportunity for God to do something great in Manchester UK!

Then we go to Pontypool Wales for meeting.  Why not expect God to do something great!  This is my expectancy

I write you to compliment each of you on how you have sacrificed financially to send me to the nations of the world.  If you have never given to my ministry I encourage you to pray today and ask God what he would have you to do.

I also want to honor you for your love, kindness and financial giving to world missions through my ministry.

You have sown and now you will reap the reward.

I love you all

"The Importance of the Prophetic in 2012"

“The Importance of the Prophetic in 2012”

By Darrel Stott

I believe the majority of Christians believe we are living in the days just before the second return of Jesus to our earth. These are important times for each of us. This is a time of great opportunity and blessing from God for you and your family.

All Christian love the prophetic. But now we live in the time of fulfillment of all things. Things that have been hidden for years prophetically are now to be revealed to us!

God’s plan is to have great intimacy and fellowship with his followers at this time and his desire is to speak to us His plans and agenda.

I believe this is a time for some maturity to come into our lives so that we recognize what is the prophetic word of God and what is the voice of men. Prophesy must always be supernatural as it is more than a word of encouragement. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit.

Prophesy

Definition: Prophesy from God is either to give us supernatural information about the future or to speak to us directly from the heart of God.

What is the purpose of prophesy?

1 Cor 14:3 But on the other hand, the one who prophesies who interprets the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching speaks to men for their edifying and constructive spiritual progress and encouragement and consolation.

When we listen to prophesy we are encouraged to examine and test it to see if it is accurate. And secondly does it build us up, encourage us or console us. If it does not it should be rejected.

1 Thess 5:21 But test prove all things until you can recognize what is good;

The plan of God for you in 2012 is good!

1 Thess 5:9 For God has not appointed us to experience His wrath He did not select us to condemn us, but that we might obtain His salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah

Now in 2012 the world is experiencing a “Financial Crisis”. It is like a dark cloud over the earth as described in Isaiah 60:1. But when times are difficult God has a supernatural plan for his children. We are not to be like other people. We are the children of God.

It is my belief that during this difficult time in 2012 that God will bless and exalt his people before the world. I am preparing for this to be my greatest year ever!

God spoke to me that 2012 would be the year of greatest “Opportunity and Growth” since the creation of the world.

Therefore it is important to position our mind and meditations properly to be in place for these things to happen to you. Let’s agree with the agenda of God.

This year I encourage you to look and expect “Great Opportunity and Growth”

(Or success) to come to you in:

-Family members and friends to be saved

-Your Job.

-Your health

-Your finances

-Family relationships

- Investments

- Intimacy with God

- Marriage

- Dating

-Promotion at work

-New Job opportunity

-New Business opportunity

-Explosive church growth

-Amazing offering at your church

-God to send people to help you with success

-Your dreams and desires to become reality

-Money owed to you to be paid.

Remember what Paul said to the people on the ship with him that were about to be destroyed by the storm.

Act 27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. (He had heard from God)

Hallelujah!! I love the goodness of God!.

Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho!

By Darrel E. Stott

I love the Christmas season. It is an amazing time of Joy and Celebration!

When I was a boy growing up in western Canada each family in our small community was very concerned during the Christmas season about how long their toboggan was. A toboggan is a flat wooden sleigh that more than two people can ride. The longer the toboggan is the more people can ride it. For us children to go fast through the snow down a long hill with six or more people was so exciting.

When I was a child I had no idea that not everyone in the world went riding in the snow at Christmas.

We would make large snow men and decorate them. We used black coal for the eyes and a carrot for the nose. Every year we would build walls from snow to make a fort then we would hide behind and have snow ball wars with the neighbors. This was so much fun!

Later in my life I went to Indonesia and Australia. I remember preparing for Christmas in Australia. I was in for one big shock!

I went out to buy a large turkey for Christmas in the store and they did not have any. How could this be? Most everyone in Canada had a big turkey on the table to eat Christmas day.

What did we eat on Christmas day in Australia? We bought some sausages and put on our bathing suits and went to the ocean for a “barbe”. I did not know a “barbe” was a barbeque. Yes it is true! We were swimming and have a barbeque on Christmas day.

Let's remember that each country celebrates the Christmas season in a different way.

Let me share a couple Christmas lessons I learned:

1) Do not expect other people and their gifts to make you happy.

Our happiness and Joy should come from our personal relationship

with Jesus Christ. Many people are selfish and unkind. This is

their problem but they are not the ones we depend on for

happiness. We are to have an intimate, thankful relationship with

Jesus Christ.

2) Be thankful for all things. Many times I read of this in the Bible.

But my entire life changed when I began thanking God for the

good things and also thanking God for the bad things that

happened to me my life was dramatically changed. God is very

interested in developing our character. Our response to bad

people and things is of great importance to him.

3) My life has been so blessed by having the privilege of being with

the poor and needy. One day I was chatting with some people as

we sat in the ruins of their homes that had been destroyed by an

earth quake in Indonesia.

As we chatted I never heard one of them complain. They had no

insurance for rebuilding and little money. But they relaxed and

served me tea and chatted as we discussed the earth quake and

watched the children plan

4) Learn the secret of bring joy to others in need. You may not have

poor people around you but there may be people who recently lost

a family member. Others recently went through divorce or found

out they are sick. What about those who do not have a joy and are

trying to make it on a very few dollars. What can you do to bring a

smile to their face?

5) We must learn to draw our energy, strength and personal Joy for

Jesus and the small important things around us.

I pray that God will make you a blessing to others this Christmas. What a wonderful thing when we love those close to us but are not too busy to focus on others around us who we can bring the love of Jesus too

Why Do People JOKE with you?

When People JOKE with YOU!

-Darrel E Stott

Cultures are Different

I remember my first trip to the country of Australia. The country and people were beautiful but the some of the things in the culture were shocking to me. An example is as I was ministering in the city of Sydney and I assumed the culture was the same as America.

After the meeting we went to a house for food and coffee. Immediately very blunt joking began. They picked on each other joking about the size of their nose, being fat or how big their ears were. And it went on and on. What one person would say the others would say something worse. I felt so sorry for the person being picked on.

Later they explained to me the culture of Australia: “Darrel if no one picks on you saying terrible things about you and your body it means they do not like you. The more they like you the more they will joke with you saying terrible things.

Wow I was so glad they said terrible things about me.

I made some bad mistakes in Australia.

I quickly learned Australia has so much slang, Musicians are called Muso’s and a barbeque is called a “Barbie”. But I did not know that some of our words from North America are swearing in Australia. After my preaching they would say “Darrel please do not ever use that word again”.

An important lesson that I learned?

In most countries of the world if people joke with you in any way it means they see you as a friend and like you.

Because I joke much I am offend misunderstood

When my mother was 78 yrs old just before her death one day she told me this: “Darrel I am your mother and I still cannot tell when you are joking and when you are telling the truth.”

Many times when I joke with friends I keep a straight face and do not smile. Therefore they assume I am not joking. I love to do this!

BUT… (oh oh big problem)

Sometimes people get so angry with me for saying what I say. They do not understand my style of joking. It will always be true.

*But if friends are friends they do not stop communicating but they will try to learn how understand and communicate better

A real friend will try to joke and get even with the person who played a joke on them

When you get ANGRY at a person’s words what does it mean?

“When revival came into my life they immediately told me this. Darrel when the words of a person offend you pay close attention to their words.

Why?

God is showing you an area of hurt or an area that needs to be healed it. Do not get angry or offended but write the word s down and pray over them”

Why do I feel inferior or insecure?

Smile! Everyone feels inferior or insecure in some way. It means you are normal!

Learn to accept yourself and laugh at yourself. If you are still frustrated then I encourage you to read some books on being “codependent”. Let God set you free to be happy and love yourself.
